BSA News - 27th March 2009

The disco held on Friday 27th March was a great success, it was our last one for the school year, and we raised a fantastic £472.93. The BSA would like to say a huge thank you to all for their support, and I would also like to say a big thank you to all who have helped with the disco’s over the past year…parents, staff, and Governors. Special thanks to Mr Wallace for DJ’ing at each disco and also to those children who stay behind afterwards and help clear and sweep up (I do hope they continue to practice those skills at home!).

You may remember the ‘bag2school’ clothing collection we did back in November last year….well it was so successful last time raising £270, that we will be having another collection of clothes, bedding, shoes, belts, soft toys and curtains on Thursday 11th June. If you can, please hang on to any of the above items that are in good condition, as it all helps towards raising funds for your school. The blue collection bags will be distributed nearer the time. Please note we cannot store any items before the collection date.

Our next committee meeting is on Monday 27th April at 8pm in the Bramley Inn. You are very welcome to come along. Some of the items to be discussed will be allocating funds, planning for the Treasure Hunt on Monday May 4th (we do need helpers for this please), and also discussing the Summer Fete.
